Data: Hit: 21168
Corten is an alloy made up of steel, copper and phosphorus that stands out from the others for its beauty and strength. There are many aesthetic possibilities of this versatile material that is suitable for various types of applications. What better idea to decline this incredible material by applying it to such a lively environment such as that of the kitchen?

Discover with TrackDesign how to use corten steel in your kitchen:

As a first idea we propose to cover a wall with corten panels. The detachment created by the different textures and colours of the surfaces offers delicious and unusual harmonies between the decisive character of the steel plate and the rest of the space, especially when combined with bright and neutral walls for balanced results. In addition, the wide surface of the corten panels allows this wonderful material to unleash all its expressive potential revealing its beautiful nuances.

The corten panels used to cover the wall units and islands are also a trend. The tenacity of this steel makes them particularly resistant and therefore suitable for a lively environment such as the kitchen. Moreover, the captivating rusty colour will emphasize lines and volumes within the room while creating a certain visual dynamism. You can then choose neutral-coloured floors to highlight the elements that make up the kitchen in corten steel: the latter matches very well with floors of different colours, such as the various shades of white, the more decisive shades of brown, or even soft grey so to create a contrast between warm and cold tones.

Finally, one last idea can be to choose among a wide range of kitchen furniture in corten. Particularly used for the Industrial or Rustrial styles (mixture of rustic and industrial) are the pieces of furniture created in natural materials, such as steel, which show the essence of their structure.A perfect example of industrial style corten furniture is the LEGGERO kitchen stool (G. Pio D'Altilia by TrackDesign), the light seat in waxed corten made with metal sheets of minimal thickness that gives personality to your kitchen.
