TrackDesign illustrates its style choices. |
| TrackDesign collects the ideas of the designers, carefully selecting them for the way they deal with and translate the preferred compositional themes for their metal design furniture collection. |

The products in the TrackDesign catalogue therefore summarise three style choices typical of metal furniture, the first of which is the use of metal tube. The history of the steel tubulars was born with the era of the industrial revolution. They were used for building and hydraulic applications, but also for the production of automobile and bicycle frames. The new technologies used in the industrial sector couldn’t but influence the world of design: and it is precisely from the "Adler bicycle" made with steel tubulars that the Hungarian architect Marcel Breuer draws inspiration to create the revolutionary Wassily chair, also known by the Model name B3. The design of this steel seat revolutionizes the canons of the time, especially as regards the materials used for the structure. His curved nickel-plated steel prototype was in fact made in a company that produced bicycles and the fabric, called Eisengarn, was conceived inside the Bauhaus and never used before.
The Modern Movement is the backdrop to this revolution in the concept of living and design spaces, a current of thought developed since the 1920s especially in the Bauhaus school of applied art. It promoted a type of design that is linked to rationalism in which luxury and simplicity are two concepts that are not mutually exclusive, rather they come together promoting a sober and essential style in which the figure of man is placed at the centre. This is the case of Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, better known as Le Corbusier and his famous chaise longue, LC4. Defined the chaise longue par excellence, thanks to the structure of curved steel tubulars it allows réglage continu, that is to say a system that allows the seat to assume different types of inclination according to preferences.
Thanks to the architects and designers of the Modern Movement, the metal tube is chosen as the primary structure of the seat object where the other components only take place later. Over time and thanks to technological innovation, the application of metal tubulars is no longer limited only to seats but has developed in all areas of metal design furniture in a completely innovative way. TrackDesign today is inspired by the greats of the Modern Movement by using metal tubulars in different furnishing accessories with simple and refined lines with a contemporary aesthetic. An example is the Jackie collection. The table and chairs are in fact composed of rectangular-shaped metal tubes. The structure is the main element of these furnishing accessories which represent a modern interpretation of the rationalist concepts of the Bauhaus.
The Sistema bookcase also reflects an example of perfect balance between geometric purity and functionality, in that refusal of excesses and return to the essentials that determined the success of the Modern Movement and the metal tubular.
