The presence of metal in furniture is a constantly growing trend in which craftsmanship and design work together, enhancing the aesthetic and technical qualities of the materials. Wrought or raw, the metals declined to design are pure matter, ready to create different glares based on the angle of light.

Copper, among others, is a particularly versatile metal that is suitable for multiple design processes that let its expressive potential flow. In the previous article, we introduced the first three copper finishes proposed to coat your design projects with fine copper. This week we present the last two copper finishes by TrackDesign.

copper

MUTATIO FLAMED COPPER is the new copper finish with warm and captivating tones that catches the eye. This handmade finish is created by using a manual fire oxidation system which generates unusual and original shades. Flamed copper is ideal for indoor furniture as it is easily malleable and particularly suitable for covering the wooden cores of your design furniture. For the maintenance and cleaning of the material, we recommend using a cotton cloth dampened with water or suitable neutral products for painted surfaces.

copper iridescentia

COPPER IRIDESCENTIA is a copper finish with surprising cold-toned shades. The characteristic natural verdigris colouring, so different and opposite to the shades of the other copper finishes, derives from the long exposure to the atmosphere of the metal which creates a thin patina of oxide. This fascinating and suggestive finish is ideal for indoor furniture. To offer the customer a very high-quality product, TrackDesign accelerates the oxidation process of the verdigris coating to reach a mature state. Subsequently, the product is painted with a transparent protective coating to maintain its beauty intact over time. The manual processing creates variations of unrepeatable shades that add value to the object you choose. For cleaning, we recommend using a cotton cloth dampened with water or suitable neutral products for painted surfaces. Do not use abrasive cloths, solvents, alcohol or aggressive detergents.
