The finishes are able to create and change the visual dialogues between the rooms and the furnishings by creating different contrasts of light and colour between vertical and horizontal surfaces.

Different finishes contributes not only to creating the refined atmosphere but can also be used to create different moods within different environments and internal spaces of a house depending on the function they will perform.

TrackDesign offers you a wide range of metal finishes to choose from for your design furnishing accessories and today it presents you with the criteria for choosing from the 16 finishes available.

Finish: matte or polished?

The first characteristic that can be noticed of the finishing of a design furniture is certainly the opaque or polished finish.

The polished finishes are capable of precisely reflecting the light, giving brightness to an environment without weighing it down, which could happen instead by choosing opaque, darker and more massive furniture especially on large surfaces.

The opaque ones, on the other hand, are recommended if you want to give a more decisive aesthetic result that can enhance the quality of the materials, together with their resistance and ease of cleaning.

Intended use: indoor or outdoor?

TrackDesign always provides you with finishes and materials of the highest quality and resistance, but as always there are finishes that are more suitable for an indoor environment and others that are specifically designed to withstand outdoor environments. In fact, of the same material, such as the Corten steel emblem of TrackDesign, there are different finishes that allow you to enjoy the aesthetics of this material in all environments. It is therefore important to know immediately which room a furnishing accessory will be used in order to decide on a finish.

Furniture style: classic or contemporary?

The ability to choose from a wide range of finishes allows you to adapt your design furniture exactly to your aesthetic and stylistic tastes. Choose from the most classic materials or the most daring finishes depending on the style you want to recreate in your home.

Texture

Brushed, extra-polished, flamed, burnished or textured. Voluntary or random surface irregularities, with a corrugated or corrugated effect, full of depressions or cracks of various sizes and more or less even colours: each metal sheet can be either unique and unrepeatable or uniform and perfect.

The choice of the right texture is decisive for the final rendering of a piece of furniture and the same material, we can have different textures: take for example stainless steel: a piece of furniture in the TrackDesign’s Lavagna finish will have a completely opposite result to that of the brushed version, not to mention the polished stainless steel one!

Colour: tone and intensity

Last but not least, when choosing the right finish, colour certainly dominates our criteria. It is important to be able to choose between the cold or warm value of a finish or the intensity of the finish itself that can give the desired effect and be in harmony with the environment in which it will be placed.
