TIMELESS is the work signed by the architect Jasmine Pignatelli, who rethought the floor of Masseria Calderisi di Savelletri during a renovation of the rooms. 

The idea was born from the collaboration between the architect Pignatelli and the interior designer Anna Gambatesa. The latter is the founder of the contemporary art gallery MISIA ARTE in Bari, who chose the inspiration of Jasmine and her works among  the present artists in the gallery. Timeless, a graphic reworking of a series of previous works by Jasmine, has renewed the image of the Masseria's logo and  subsequently has evolved into the creation of a timeless artistic floor for the ancient Apulian masseria.

The project is inspired by an ancient graphic sign relating to a series of iron-age jewelry / fibulas conserved at the Brettii Museum and the Enotri of Cosenza: concentric rings and bronze radial discs coming from the Torre del Mordillo necropolis. The jewel dates back to 2000 BC and in the artistic declination of Jasmine Pignatelli alludes to the circularity of Time. The circle is a symbol of union, time, perfection, nature, well-being and, in its expression of a complete natural element, it responds well to the themes and the mission of Masseria Calderisi. Dilated time and compressed time, perceived time and relative time are the effects of this multiplication and projection of form and sign. The great and evocative seventeenth-century artistic floor is now crossed by circular shapes in a dynamic sequence that takes into account the weights and forces of space in a system of tension that moves and dilates everything. It’s about  an expanding universe only apparently timeless, without direction and without dimension. 

To interpret the work of the artist it is necessary to mention the timeless, directionless and dimensionless elements which, often recurring in the art works, express the need to get out of the physical and geometrical rules to free the forms of reasoning in space.

The artistic floor was created by TrackDesign, which produced the five painted steel circles with the precise water-jet technology to cut the sheet. . The decorations of the new resin floor vary in size and color and have the following diameters 100cm, 115cm, 140cm, 185cm, 150cm. 

The project, which has transferred art to the floor of the great interior room of the Masseria, is part of an ancient context steeped in history, creating a strong contrast between past and present, expressing itself in the contrast of the white of the stone with the black of the steel plates.

The four circles preserve the dark natural color of the "black iron" and emphasize the unique decoration painted by hand by the artist of the project. TrackDesign hosted Jasmine in its workshop. She was actively engaged for days in the selection and preparation of useful colors for painting the artistic circles applied on the floor.

Timeless is the tailor-made project created by TrackDesign that, in its works, put extreme attention to the details that contribute, together with teamwork and specialized skills, to the success of such audacious project?

Those who tread on the art-filled floor of the new Masseria Calderisi are placed in a dimension dominated by geometries with sinuous and harmonious shapes where the timeless aspect  stimulate and relax the senses.
