Electric bike charging station
STOPOVER is a station designed for cyclists, covered by a canopy (with optional integrated photovoltaic system), where a large equipped bench serves as a charging point for pedal-assisted bicycles (e-bikes), scooters, kick scooters, and wheelchairs for people with disabilities, with a capacity of up to 100 electric vehicles per day. It is designed to be a rest and gathering spot in public spaces such as parks, gardens, and university campuses, aiming to promote urban micromobility, cycle commuting, and cycle tourism. It does not require any structural excavation, offering maximum positioning flexibility and significant cost savings on installation.

How the electric bike charging canopy works: The STOPOVER bench includes a bike rack with 10 slots, each equipped with two charging outlets. The bench also allows smartphone charging, internet access via WiFi hotspot, and can include an emergency call button to ensure greater safety for users.
The canopy is also equipped with an on-the-go maintenance and repair system, featuring bike-lifting hooks, a tool kit secured with safety cables, a manual pump, and a water dispenser for refilling bottles. The large area of over 5 sqm covered by the canopy is well suited for gathering and meeting activities for all passersby.
The materials used are sturdy and resistant to vandalism and corrosion, making the structure ideal for public and outdoor spaces. In particular, the use of corten steel — in addition to its great strength and unique, distinctive color — is 100% recyclable, aligning perfectly with the green objectives of the project.
