LUMINARA | Corten lamp

The wall lamp is the result of the fusion of symbols and objects typical of Puglian tradition. Luminara, from the Latin lumen, "that which spreads light", recalls the typical rose windows of Puglia's Romanesque cathedrals and the classic "luminarie" — the recognisable symbol of the colourful patron-saint festivals of southern Italy. The poplar-wood frame, used to fix the sixty-four LED bulbs, is covered by a thin sheet of Corten steel that creates an elegant contrast between the brown tones of the metal and the white, yellow and blue lights that alternate in the rose window. When the lights are off, Luminara becomes an original wall decoration.
