Urban Furniture — Teramo
The project redeveloped the square in front of Teramo railway station with a system of Corten steel and okoume wood planters and seating, designed to accompany pedestrian flows and give one of the city’s main entrances new places to rest. From design to supply and installation, TrackDesign followed the project every step of the way, supporting the local team on site as well.
Planters with integrated seating
The focal point of the project is the Corten steel planter-benches with okoume wood seating, available in various sizes: from the 2,840×2,840 mm module up to the largest piece, 5,690×5,690 mm, custom-built to house an existing tree in the square. Corten structure 400 mm tall, wooden seat set at 485 mm from the ground.
Modular seating islands
The furnishing is completed by Corten steel and okoume wood seating islands, designed as freestanding elements to be placed around the square: modules of 1,519×1,576 mm and 1,954×2,076 mm, plus a linear bench of 3,100×3,100 mm, all with a seat height of 490 mm.
Complementary and cube planters
Rounding out the square’s greenery, a series of Corten-steel-only planters in various heights and sizes (from 1,830×1,830 mm to 3,730×3,730 mm) and three cube planters of 950×950 mm, 980 mm tall, for the newly planted greenery.
