Hotel Cala Ponte
In the striking landscape of Puglia, where the silvery green of centuries-old olive groves meets the deep blue of the Adriatic, a project was born that tells the story of the perfect synthesis between innovation and tradition. Hotel Cala Ponte, a high-end property immersed in this unique landscape, was looking for furnishings that could enhance its outdoor spaces without betraying the authenticity of the territory.
The design challenge
Creating an element that was both contemporary and rooted in the landscape, functional yet capable of stirring emotion. From this need came the Wave planter, a project that embodies the essence of TrackDesign’s philosophy: turning metal into poetry, respecting nature and enhancing spaces.
Inspired by the landscape
The Wave planter draws its shape from the waves of the Adriatic Sea that lap the coast of Puglia. The sinuous, organic lines stem from a close observation of the surrounding landscape. The tactile surface of the Corten steel gives the piece a unique texture, turning each planter into a small sensory landscape that evolves with the seasons.
- The natural movement of sea waves
- The gentle curves of the Puglia hills
- The wind flowing through the olive trees
- The harmony of nature’s organic shapes
Why Corten steel
The choice of Corten steel was not accidental, but the result of careful consideration of the characteristics of the Puglia region. Corten is a living material that is in constant dialogue with its surroundings, just like the olive trees that change colour with the seasons.
- Warm tones echoing the red earth of Puglia
- Natural colour evolution over time
- Perfect integration with the colours of the Mediterranean landscape
- Excellent resistance to marine weathering
- Full environmental sustainability and recyclability
