Stopover
STOPOVER is a station designed for cyclists, covered by a canopy (with an optional integrated photovoltaic system), where a large equipped bench acts as a charging point for e-bikes, scooters, mobility scooters and wheelchairs, for a total of 100 electric vehicles per day. Designed for parks, gardens and university campuses, it encourages urban micromobility, cycle-commuting and cycle tourism, with no structural excavation required.
How it works
The STOPOVER bench has a bike rack with 10 slots, each fitted with two charging sockets. It also allows smartphone charging, WiFi hotspot internet access, and can include an emergency call button for greater user safety.
On-the-go maintenance
The canopy is equipped with a system for on-the-go maintenance and repair, with hooks for lifting bikes, a tool kit secured with safety cables, a manual pump and a water dispenser for refilling bottles. The 5+ sqm area covered by the canopy is also a natural gathering spot.
Durable materials
The materials used are robust and resistant to vandalism and corrosion, making the structure ideal for outdoor public spaces. Corten steel, besides its great strength and unmistakable colour, is 100% recyclable, in line with the project’s green objectives.
